Type of review

This product is not as pictured, these are not the wonderful former efferent pills that have worked so well for me for so many years. This is the new "improved" version which smells awful, leaves a bad taste on my dentures and makes my tongue swell. I paid for the old awesome version as shown in the picture and got the new awful version. unsuitable for me.

Pros
  • Worth your money

Excellent mouthguard cleaner

I use this for my mouthguard. The podiatrist prefers that I use hand sanitizer or soap to clean the mouthguard because he says these pills attack and destroy the mouthguard. I don't use soap often because it's difficult to get all the triclosan out; I can taste it and it shouldn't be in my mouth. Efferdent cleans them well and leaves no traces of taste. I didn't notice any pitting. I've also noticed that this deletes other things as well. Overall, I'm glad I'm using the product.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Persulfates cause a severe allergic reaction

Allergic Reaction! Warming persulfates! The product description on the Revain website had no information and we learned this the hard way, after some use my child had a severe allergic reaction and I checked the label and finally made the connection. There is a warning about an allergic reaction to persulfates and I wouldn't have bought it if I knew

Pros
  • Something about it
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

This is FOL. The horrible smell and taste remain.

Too bad I don't read reviews but order blindly, assuming that this is the same product I used before - it's not. This is FOL. The horrible smell and taste lingers to the point where even soaking my night protectant in water for half an hour afterwards (forget rinsing) didn't help remove it. Not to mention an aftertaste so strong that it makes me wonder if I'm ingesting dangerous chemicals every time I use this product! I finally decided to go the overnight route of the Listerine solution and…

Excellent stain removal, safe for partial stains

I have been using Polident tablets for partial stains for many years but GlaxoSmithKline has discontinued them and the foam aerosol product that has replaced them is very expensive and totally useless for stain removal. So I confirmed to my orthopedic dentist that Efferdent tablets are safe for partial teeth and then bought a pack of tablets to try. Conclusion - I am completely satisfied with this product! It is more economical than Polident tablets and does an excellent job of removing stains.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Terrible taste and smell.

I have been using Efferdent for my dentures for many years. I don't know what happened to that box, but something was definitely wrong. I noticed a bad taste in my dentures from a strip of pills but I didn't think about it, just thought I hadn't rinsed them enough. Then I opened the next strip and there was an awful smell, so awful it filled my bathroom. I kept checking and after a few streaks I threw it all away. I don't know if there is an expiration date, a bad batch, or some sort of product

  • GOLS certified

But I have my own teeth! So many things to do with it!

I have my own teeth. I read from another reviewer that she used this to disinfect things. I took the ball and ran with it. I LOVE this idea! First, I used it to clean my makeup brushes. I brush with a toothbrush and tongue cleaner.3. To clean my kettle. When there is water in it, bacteria multiply, and it seems that there is always some water in it. It cleans dried mineral deposits and makes me feel better when I'm clean again. I use it to clean our vaporizer.5. I polished the jewelry intact…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
