Great tool! - my new review

I'll start my review by revealing I am a tool junkie, so I bought this tool because it seemed like a good idea but mostly because I didn't have one! I also don't write reviews until I actually use the tool. I put the tool through a bunch of demolition projects over the last week and it performed well.I tried every position of the pry head. using hand leverage and also hitting the head with a 24 oz framing hammer and the tool performed well. I was going to buy both the 18" and 30&#34…

Pros
  • ‎Indexing
Cons
  • The indexing feature may add unnecessary complexity to certain projects

Great tool, warrenty covers defects for 90 days

Bought it in 2013 and it is a very useful tool. Haven't used it for about a year now and went to pry a something apart and the head won't stay locked. Contacted the manufacturer and they have a special number for revain. Called them and they said it is only covered against defects for the first 90 days.Guess for $23 I got my use out of it for the project I was doing 5 years ago.

Pros
  • Raised heavy-duty striking surface on the head to assist in demolition
Cons
  • May not be suitable for outdoor or rugged terrain use

Very versatile prybar

I purchased the prybar to disassemble the deck boards and joists of a deck on my cabin. use of a prybar in many different positions and an angles is required to complete this task. The adjustments on the Crescent Brand BLACK DB18X 18 Indexing Flat Prybar allowed every nail to be removed quickly and easily

Pros
  • A must have in your tool box
Cons
  • May not be as effective for prying open tightly sealed containers or jars

Must have demo tool

Used on demolition (removal of sheetrock and base boards/trim ) of several houses. Love it my go to tool lately. The adjustable head is so helpful highly recommended

Pros
  • Great tool you can set the angle for better pull
Cons
  • The red and black color scheme may not be appealing to everyone

Handy man must have!

Love the adjustment this thing offers! most have for framing and remodeling, or if you just use a crowbar regularly, this crowbar out preforms any other I've ever used. It is very strong! and the fact that you an adjust one peace of the head means that you can: use it for twisting studs, and pry things even higher than with a regular crowbar.

Pros

Cons
  • May not be as durable as other pry bars in extreme temperatures or weather conditions

Very sturdy alows for fast pulling of boards without breaking or cracking was hesitant to buy crescent since they messed up the pass thru socket set which broke before i could even use the ratchet and for two years have not made it right but it was a deal and hard to mess up a pry bar

Pros
  • This indexing bar is an absolute beast, I used it to remove boards from my deck.
Cons
  • May require significant physical effort to use effectively

Nice wrecking bar, this is one of the best tools I ever bought.

I'm a rehab contractor and this is the best bar I ever bought ! I do a lot of rehab, sure makes prying and removal of flooring and molding a helluva lot easier !

Pros
  • This is one of the tools you need to have for multiple jobs.
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time

High quality tool good for me

Top quality like all Crescent tools. The adjustable angle is very useful - I was worried it might slip but it's extremely strong. I even stood on it to make sure and it never loses grip on the angle adjustment.

Pros
  • Love it
Cons
  • May not be as effective for removing stubborn adhesives or glue
