I wear boots for the winter and I figured the round laces would be more durable than the flat laces from the same company. I have a no shoes policy for my apartment. I know I can keep my laces tied loose, but the problem with that is that they stay loose so walking is ridiculous and feels sloppy. With these laces you can lace them up relatively tight and still slip in your shoes with some help with a finger (to help so the back doesn’t fall down). If you want them tighter, there is a lace lock.

I really DO like these laces. Shoes are so much easier to put on when they don't need to be tied. And some laces, especially Sperry Dock Siders, just don't stay tied. I use these Xpand laces on running shoes too and love them.2 (somewhat) negatives: 1) Xpand round laces only come with "quick release" ends rather than the "hidden" ends available on their flat laces. Definitely avoids having to tie shoes. Better instructions would help. First, do not cut the laces too short, as I did and now am considering a repurchase to get new laces. After cutting the laces, the ends fray, making it impossible to relace the shoe; easy solution, light the lace end with a match and the end becomes hard and firm, no fringe to interfere with lacing. Exactly what I needed. We had a little trouble putting the clip on the ends of the laces, but were able to figure it out. Simple. Look great.

I added these to a pair of Merrell sneakers. The new model did not come with stretchy laces. I’m in and outdoors all day and like the quick on and off these laces provide. The instruction pictures where hard to see but intuitive design

Love them! I work as a paramedic with 24hr shifts. At night, we're allowed to take our boots off to rest. Most boots offer a side zipper but I've always had problems with the boot folding in on itself. These new shoelaces are the best! They stay looped and keep the mouth open enough for you to slide your foot in and then really simply pull the elastic and lock it in. You're good to go for the next 911 call! Anytime I buy new boots, I'll be buying these along with them.

Only gave 4 stars because I haven’t used them yet. Years ago I purchased hiking shoes with this type lacing and loved them. I have back and joint issues that limit my ability to tie standard laces but have been unable to find desirable shoes that come with this type since. I bought these laces anticipating ability to purchase any shoes I wish and will install these laces. I anticipate upgrading to 5 stars then.

Laces are really cute and made my shoes easy slip-ons. They were not easy to assemble as the clip would not click. I had to burn the edges to flatten them to fit properly in the clip. Frustrating, but it’s done.

I couldn't figure out how to attach the little locking piece that attaches to the end of the elastic lace. That's my review.

I prefer your xpand laces over lock laces. For me they are easier to use. I recently had a hip replacement and itwas too hard for me to tie my shoes with regular laces. I liked them so much that I ordered two more pairs. Also I like the great variety of colors available.

Every time i buy a new pair of shoes i buy these Xpand laces, honestly i freakin love them. they are so easy and convenient. They have a TON of options so you will always have a match for whatever color shoe you buy. i can't say enough good things about this product. i use it all the time.

The other stretch laces have a much better locking and adjustment mechanism than these. Nice colors but the locking mechanism just doesn’t cut it. I had to use the lock from a pair of other laces to make them work.

I love these! I like the look of laces, but the everyday ease of slip-ons, and these deliver! I've tried others, but the spring clasp thingy is just big and clunky. These, the Lace Anchor is small and efficient! Great product, I'm ordering another pair for my golf shoes and a couple for my wife!
