Trash - throw in the trash

I had a simple task - to solder the lights in the closet. Two of the three wire nuts I used just had the metal contact coil inside just pop out. It's a small sample, yes, but still 66% bounce! Who needs an electric fireplace in the house? So I threw them all out and went to Blow's for the ones that worked!

Good picture layout

Very clear picture of the diameters and sizes of the wire caps, but when I received it some of them were in different colors, which did not bother me, but then I realized that the wire spring fell out of the yellow , which didn't bother me either, so I just screwed it back into the yellow cap with a Phillips screwdriver (didn't take long) but other than that I'm very happy with my product , thanks. They're good too, maybe a little better than the ones in the store.

  • Decent performance

Poorly made and potentially dangerous

These wire nuts are absolute junk. They do not conform to the size standard associated with color coding. They are slightly smaller. But the big problem is that the spool inside easily detaches from the plastic nut. When tightening the connection I often pull the plastic spool which is a hazard to the nut as the connection gets stuffed into the junction box. I ended up attaching a few pieces of silicone. Not the best use of time!

Fire hazard! The plastic shell is separated from the metal spring.

Do not buy! These wire nuts are a fire hazard! I twisted the wires together using a wire nut. Once the nut is in place I gently tug on the nut like I normally would to make sure everything is done right and everything is tight. To my surprise, the red sheath appeared at that moment and the metal spring was still holding all the wires together. It is flammable and dangerous! I have used so many different types of wire nuts from Home Depot, Lowes etc in the past and never had this problem. This…

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • Almost never

I needed a lot of these and the price was right but I'll tell you what I think it was there is not much difference in size between the metal parts in the caps, shall we say. red vs yellow. I pulled out some of the red and yellow lids I've been using at home and the ones in this set were a similar outside size but the insides were very different. In one case I had four common wires that needed to be twisted together and the red ones in this set just couldn't do it. So I moved a few things around

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not First Class: IDC Electrical

I spotted a reviewer who noticed wire nuts in their bins being mixed up and miscounted. Mine came with messed up containers too, so I ended up counting a few. What I calculated was accurate. The problem I found was that some of the wire inserts had popped out and were on the bottom of the bin. When I started checking I found a significant number of nuts without a twisted wire insert and others with a half inserted insert. It's useless. Not only did I not receive the quantity I paid for, but how

Inexpensive, organized and convenient. It suited me!

I was recently looking in my tool box for a wire connector bolt for my electric dog fence but found I didn't have one! A quick search of Revain yielded this list. It arrived *almost* exactly as described/shown in the pictures. All colors and sizes were available, but some of the larger caps/colors were mixed in with the smaller ones. As I tried to saturate the organized side of my brain by putting all the same colors in their respective bowls, I discovered why: the big ones are too big to all…
