Ideal for screen printing.

I used a 125 watt bulb for screen printing as it was available locally. This lightbulb is much nicer. Screen printing is getting faster and I think this results in sharper edges too (though maybe that's just my imagination). 3 hour lifespan is kind of a bummer. I can try using double 125s. If nothing else, use an electric timer to make sure you don't overdo it and use it for the lighting (I accidentally turned on my 125 and it killed it).

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

I usually order these bulbs from my Screenprint supplier but decided to give it a try to see if it saves me some money. Well it won't even close! I put in a bulb and was a little surprised by the 3 hour life, but after my initial shock I was ready to go. I started exposing my screens, the first one below, EXCELLENT! the second under the light. Burned out. 3 hours of my ass life! 23 minutes I got out of that lightbulb 23 MINUTES! do you mean that seriously?!?!?!?!?!?

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

This is the best lightbulb I have found for photography

This is the best lightbulb I have found for photography. I take tons of photos for my auction listings, and even in a garage with neon lights, I've had trouble with shadows. I use these lights with a 10" reflector and the results are 1000x better than any other I've tried. Don't be put off by negative reviews. Most of the people who buy them and complain just can't read. Right off the box it says they only last about 3 hours and shouldn't be used in things like the living room ceiling fan! Yes…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
