This is the best lightbulb I have found for photography. I take tons of photos for my auction listings, and even in a garage with neon lights, I've had trouble with shadows. I use these lights with a 10" reflector and the results are 1000x better than any other I've tried. Don't be put off by negative reviews. Most of the people who buy them and complain just can't read. Right off the box it says they only last about 3 hours and shouldn't be used in things like the living room ceiling fan! Yes they have a short lifespan and yes they get very hot (so don't use a plastic bushing). but I still haven't found the best lightbulb for the job!
