I bought this for button making and it won't cut 20 lb paper at all, it tears the paper with every cut. Who knows, maybe it works better on cardboard, but I don't need it for cardboard.

It turned out to be too big for the project I bought it for, but it worked perfectly. Easy to cut circles. It has a zipper so you can keep it closed so you don't accidentally poke something. I liked that I could use it upside down and see where the paper matched the real hole punch.

These large round hole punches are great for cardstock and heavier paper (24lb). Use very thin printer paper carefully and expect to have scissors on hand to complete the cut.

To be honest I've used other punches before and this one blew me away. It is very well designed, heavy and durable. I needed a hole punch that could handle 110 pounds of cardboard and punch holes in even thick cardboard with ease. I absolutely love this hole punch.

I needed a 1 1/2 inch round punch and it fitted. I like that it locks in the closed position - this type of punch takes up much less storage space.
