it hurts and thins after washing

elastic band is beautiful and thin, elastic enough. However, after the first wash, the band becomes very thin, and when I use it for my homemade face mask, the elastic damaged the back of my ear. So I recommend that for a mask? No? for other crafts (I would only suggest one project that you don't need to delete)

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old

as advertised

This would work well for children's masks as the school will likely need them when they are opened. I have made/donated close to 300 masks for our veterans and also about 125 for others who use 1/4" elastic. It sounds like it would be a lot easier on the ears. I measured it very roughly and Got 850 inches (almost 23 yards, thanks).

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Disappointing

I bought this tape to make masks. I had to figure out how flimsy it would be, but the biggest disappointment is how much it stretches and doesn't regain its shape. In the photo I need to stretch the knot onto the elastic on the side. This in turn makes the rubber band almost twice as long. I'm also not sure how long this elastic will last with constant use and washing.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
