Converting an old 2 wire home with no ground wire to 3 wire outlets requires that it be GFCI compliant is. Simply replacing the socket is not good. This makes the right conversion affordable compared to the cost at Lowe's and Home Depot.

Excellent! Lowes and Home Depot want $100 for 10 and they were only $86 and came with everything you need and seems great quality. They even have a green light on the front to show they have power. Very simple connection via the plug holes on the back of the socket.

Very good packaging in stores! The LED display is a nice plus. We had to replace several outlets with GFCI and it was the best price we could find. The quality is as good or better than many we have seen in big money stores, everything was perfect, inspector checked and did the job for us.

I give one star because you have to post this garbage, they don't work properly I've had four popups and I can't reset them I've been trying to save money by ordering abstracts, and it is a waste of money, don't waste your time or money on abstracts, go to a regular store and buy abstracts, they will work fine

I have a two wire system in my house. The electrical code states that it will be replaced with GFCI to allow the 3 pin connector to be used safely. All 10 units work great and I'm learning as I go. Before I started, I had to rent a meter from an electric company. There's no point in getting a shocking surprise. When switched on, all GFCIs work correctly. I've read some good and some bad reviews about this particular GFCI socket, but I've installed 15 of them (all indoors) and haven't had any problems to speak of. The old house with the little tin boxes was cramped, but they all got in and every single one works just fine. I'm so glad I finally got rid of the old 2-prong outlets that originally came from my 1953 house, no more 3-prong adapters. So there are no complaints about my personal experience with this product. The power and output posts are too close to the unit's case wall, making it difficult to wrap the power cord around the post before securing it. That's the biggest headache. After installation, the green light, meaning 'active', is too bright. It's ok if it's in the kids room and they like the extra night light, but my husband and I want our room to be dark so have to we turn on the light.
