This little charger works just as fast as the one that came with my Oral-B toothbrush. The original charger only consumes 0.9W, which is equivalent to 2.5-5W. So unless it's incredibly inefficient, it should charge at the same rate. But I advise you to test it with your USB travel adapter before you travel as one of my 5w adapters won't turn it on. All others work fine for me.
