Description of Elevate Your Studio Recording with Electro-Voice 309A Suspension Shock Mount for RE20, RE27N/D and RE320 Microphones

Designed specifically for use with the RE20, RE27N/D, and RE320 dynamic microphones. Provides near-perfect shock isolation for those already internally shock mounted microphones. May be attached directly to the recording boom or to a floor stand for most applications. The mount design allows quick installation of the RE20, RE27N/D, or RE320 microphone without tools. A double safety factor is provided to ensure microphones will remain attached to the shock mount under any conditions. A bayonet locking action assures that the microphone will not fall out of the shock mount under its own weight. Additionally, a set screw (wing type) can be tightened to lock the microphone in place after proper positioning.

Near perfect insulation for your RE20, RE27 or RE320

Your RE Series microphone investment is not complete without the 309A pendant mount. Despite its size, it is very well designed and easy to use. and strong enough to take its place in countless broadcast booths around the world. And let's be honest. Like the mic he's holding, his looks are truly iconic. But more importantly, it offers near-perfect insulation. True, there are a few aftermarket clones out there, but I'm willing to shell out a few bucks more for the original.

Please read before returning due to adapter issues

This general description or EV dimensional drawing shows that the two parts of the adapter come out of the box screwed together and appear as one piece. After unscrewing the two parts of the adapter with your finger, the set screw (winged) comes out of the adapter. You turn the adapter upside down and screw a set screw into the top of the adapter. This allows the 309A to be used with any studio arm, such as the Rode PSA 1 microphone. This is why Revain shows that, despite being two different…

This is for EV 309A Shock Mount

Not much to say here. It appears to be a real EV 309A shock. That's very pleasant. Strong. Good design. An additional set of rubber mounts was included in the scope of delivery. Even though he's tall. Actually, so is the microphone, so it's proportional to the size of the microphone. I just found it difficult to spend 20% of the cost of a microphone on a mount. I rated the value for money as low. It is well built and is a good product. I mean EV raised the price and locked that high price in…

If you have a RE20, RE27 or RE320 you need this damper

I have had other dampers but this one really fits the RE20. I've used them on a transmit arm in a broadcast studio, but I also use this in my home studio, flipped upside down and mounted on a desktop mic stand. It works great, but my only suggestion is that the 309's damper is quite high if you mount it upside down, so you may need a shorter stem on your mic stand if you're seated while using the mic. Otherwise, you have to point the microphone down to speak directly into it. Personal…

Excellent insulation!

At first I was skeptical about how good the noise insulation would be with this shock absorber. I recently bought another brand of shock mount for another dynamic mic and was very disappointed with the result. Fans from other devices on the tabletop were still telegraphing through my bay and being picked up by the mic. I've been using my EV RE-20 for a while with no jarring and I've been getting noticeable noise through the bar. My 309A shock arrived this afternoon and I installed it straight…

Expensive, durable, but not necessary.

Let's just say that this is a very expensive thing. I know there are a lot of mics out there, but c'mon, just for the shock you can buy an amp. But apart from that I also want to say that it works. just be careful Users have reported that rubber mounts have broken because they pulled too hard. I'm glad they give you an extra set. I would watch a video on how to set this up properly. I see a lot of people setting this up wrong. For the short answer you don't have, this is unnecessary. The elctro
