Ordered a size 6-7 for my niece who is a slender 7x (she's tall for her age; slender body) for a special occasion. This fits perfect. Ribbon can be added around empire waist to break up the white or floral headband depending upon occasion. Material is a polyblend overlay and a polyester sewn-in under slip. Haven't washed it yet so I cannot comment on what it looks like after washing but I would certainly wash on a delicate cycle to prevent snagging.

This was exactly what we were looking for. My daughter is 4 and I wanted her to have a pretty dress to attend a wedding. She is at an awkward phase where she is able to wear various sizes, but generally wears a size 6. Because of her shape, there was a gap along the seam at about breast level. I probably could have left it, but preferred it to lay more flat for modesty. So I folded it over about a quarter inch by the side seams and tacked it down with a whip stitch and voilá! Perfect!
