Buy cheap, buy twice. This soldering station uses the same cable for the iron as the socket. (3 core 18 AWG conductor with very rigid round insulation). The cable is larger in diameter and much stiffer than my computer's power cable. Soldering requires effort due to the weight and rigidity of the cable. The iron is hardwired to the controller, so you don't have the option of using a regular soldering iron. The flexible drive for my Dremel is more flexible. Unsuitable for my needs.
