Strong and thick compared to traditional brands

Very heavy. I was expecting something thin and flexible like normal blades of this type. Pleasantly surprised by the strength and pungency of the product. I use them as a scraper for my 3D printer. It easily penetrates under the finished prints and frees them from the hot stage. I usually break a standard blade every 10 prints. I just used one of these Xacto blades for about 30 prints. Overall great value for me.

Pros
  • Office supplies
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Excellent blade for lifting a die cut

Instead of paying for a silhouette spatula for a silhouette portrait, I use these #18 blades with my X-Acto tool. They release the diecut nicely from the Silhouette Portrait Mat and I can replace the blade when it starts to stick together. I also use quite a few X-Acto X611 #11 blades for X-Acto knives, bulk pack, 100 blades per punch box. If you buy yourself a basic Xacto X5282 knife set, you can use it for a variety of tasks for years. PS These blades are NOT toys.

Pros
  • Trimmers and paper blades
Cons
  • Expensive

Another great blade, but NOT a toy.

I use about half a dozen different blades that X-Acto makes. These blades are oxidized to preserve the edge of the blade and prevent rust. I can confirm that as some of them have been with me for literally years and are still like new. I also use them in situations where water is involved (e.g. carving plaster casts). They are strong and sturdy but I couldn't find a 100 pack in stock so I made a compromise and bought 5 packs out of 5, still less than half the cost of 1/2 the cost of 100 packs…

Pros
  • Cutting and Measuring Tools
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
