Does what it's supposed to do, which is to protect left hand from potential chainsaw kickback. Overall well made and fits well.

After first use these gloves appear to have all the specs I was looking for for use with the chainsaw: Rated protection, good construction, good fit, long cuff (none yet experience with how well they protect). To me, the "new leather smell" (a chemical residue from the tanning process) as commented in the size L version review is no worse than any other tool related leather.
