I liked how easily the crank operated the radio because I didn't expect it to work so well. As expected, the radio picked up emergency stations well. Would recommend as hurricane season approaches.

Great gadget for camping or power outage. Enough power to charge your phone and by turning the crank you'll be back in minutes. The light is bright and illuminates the room well. Also has an SOS setting that breaks through the night. Great gadget to always have on hand.

Pleasantly surprised by this little radio! It's not a "weather radio" in the sense that it plays regular radio stations, not just for weather updates. But the stations come clean unexpectedly! The light is very bright, the sounds are also quite clear. Pretty nice to have for emergencies and it doesn't need batteries!

I already have an older AC or DC weather audio system. I wanted a different option that wouldn't depend on any of the power sources. These models add solar and crank power. It also has some features that my old one doesn't have, like lights and alarms. Easy to use. The sound is not very high quality, but you don't buy a weather radio for that. I just looked through the manual. I didn't know when I bought it that it also has a solar panel on the top and a crank on the back. The radio worked right away. The speakers are crisp and nothing like the little transistor radios we had as kids. It really wasn't what I was looking for. It was like a charger that contained a radio and a light. But there is no charger.

I've been using the radio for a few weeks now and am happy with my purchase. FM channels are automatically scanned and programmed, so you don't have to search for stations. The controls are intuitive and the radio feels solid. The wake and sleep functions, alarm clock and flashlight work well. Run time - from a full charge - I got 20 hours of radio playback at volume 15. From the dead, I turned and pulled the crank at the recommended speed for 2 minutes. Over 30 minutes of radio on V15.

After a short period of use this appears to be a quality product. Handling the product gave the impression that it was solidly built.
