🚦 Enhance Safety with Emgo Brake Light Switch 46-42510 - 10/card Review

Great switch. Used it as a secondary mod on an ATV to add brake lights to a car that wasn't equipped as such. I gave 4 stars because the wires have to be inserted under the rubber boot in a weird way. I would give 5 stars if there were conductors to connect to or if there were instructions on how to route the wires. I was about to return the product (I almost forgot where to insert the cables) but I came across a video tutorial posted on YouTube.

Works, nothing more. I want to buy a brake lever with an integrated switch. I had problems with the brake light coming on after hard braking, but after playing around with the switch position everything is fine now. The only reason I went with this style of derailleur was because I have a quality brake lever and didn't want to replace a good part.

I needed an electrical connection to the brake light switch for the trailer brake control unit. My problem was that I have air brakes and an air pressure sensor is used to turn on the brake lights. I connected a switch between the brake pedal and the steering column. I then connected a 12V DC fusible wire from the ignition switch through this switch and then to the controller. This switch solved a BIG problem towing our car behind a camper van. I have to disconnect the toad's battery to tow our Ford Focus. But I wanted to make sure the toad's brakes worked. So I attached this switch to the brake pedal and ran a GROUND wire from the LED display on the RV dash to the switch and from the switch to the bottom of the toad.
