Very Heavy Duty - Outlet Covers

This is a very durable and well built weatherproof cover. The gasket can be thicker to seal the wall/socket/panel. The lid doesn't open very far, but that's not a problem. The clip that keeps the door closed is strong and a little stiff, but keeps it very secure. Overall well made and made of durable plastic.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Nice but water resistant but not waterproof

This is a decent lid, no gasket between the base and the clear lid, just a tight lip to keep moisture out. It's easy and hassle-free to install and comes with all the necessary hardware. The socket must be mounted vertically, otherwise moisture will seep in through the 2 large holes in the base where the wires of the plug pass.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Lid won't close after connecting cables

If you only want to use the top two outlets then I'm fine with that. But if you try to plug a standard power strip into the bottom outlets, you won't be able to close the cover. I had to buy special cords with spade connectors to drain them and then plug extension cords into them. Art defeats the whole purpose of a weatherproof outlet. Now I have to tape the spark plugs with tape so they don't trip over the GFI when they get wet. I would not recommend this purchase to anyone.

  • Rugged Construction

Very nice socket cover

Very nice if I do say so looks very good on my porch where I charge my phone. When installing, make sure you use a voltage tester in an outlet to avoid electrocuting yourself. I would suggest if you don't know what you are doing get an electrician to install it but it looks absolutely amazing and very heavy and looks like someone walked in and I paid them $300 to install it , when I did. it's all mine

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Put all cords in the box before installing this cover

As with any switch or outlet cover that uses 14 or 12 solid copper, do your best to keep the cords inside the box as much as possible to keep. Maybe. Installing this panel is much easier when there are no wires trying to pry the panel out of the box. The plastic is transparent so you can see the devices inside and there are 2 squares on the bottom where the cables can protrude. I have used them for WiFi switches to control pool lights and the case works fine. Whether it is UV-resistant and does

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

weatherproof not quite

All weather at first, but after a short time the seals have to be replaced. Also, I don't want the ground to always be open to the elements. I love that you have room to run your cables through, but bugs and dust are a big problem and cause internal components to wear out quickly. I made a homemade case to use the ones I bought as I hate sending things back. But for others looking for a suitable outdoor outlet, I'd buy something more weatherproof so you don't have to pay to replace it and your…
