Chemical smell: Safety

These masks fit well and look good but the chemical smell is unbearable. What's causing the chemical smell is probably worse to me than any chance of actually contracting Covid. I became nauseous from the smell after wearing the mask for literally 15 minutes (on an international flight). I kept pulling them down so I wouldn't inhale the horrible chemical smell and eventually just took them off and put on another disposable mask. My whole family had the same experience. A little less: Personal protective equipment

Some time ago I bought a batch of kn95 from another company (Eventronic). They were packaged five per bag, multiple bags per carton, and the bags were unsealed. Each is packaged in an individually sealed pouch. They have a bit of a chemical smell right out of the box but if left unpacked for a few hours the smell will dissipate.
