Not crystals, more like chunks

I wouldn't call it crystals, but chunks. The material of the mothball is pea-sized pieces, not crystalline powder. I was going to use it to repel snakes so I was hoping it would be almost a powder but they were definitely separate pieces of material.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Speed

WOW! Get those puppies out!

Unlike the larger but smaller mothballs, they give off a strong odor very quickly but are short lived. So it depends on what you want to do and how big the area you want to do. If you KNOW you have moths in your closet that you need to knock down, this is the "flood" product for you. an area with a murderous moth virtue. They'll likely last a lot longer in a small enclosed space, like a bag or Tupperware container.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Requires socket

Great cat repellent and squirrels

I have a big yard but I feed peanut squirrels every day and 5 stray cats twice a day. The squirrels love burying the peanuts around my plants and the cats love going to the bathroom too. I put these little round balls around the plants and it seemed to work. I also dilute some in water to add to a spray bottle. Today I put a few balls in boiling water and wait for them to dissolve. If water doesn't help, I try alcohol.

Pros
  • Same as all before
Cons
  • No automatic
