It's not 14.5 ounces as listed because you can't fill to the top due to the angle of the spout. The maximum you can fill is 12 oz. I needed a 12 ounce decanter so they match what I need. But I wish it had a little more room, I was hoping it was actually 14.5 ounces.

These tall carafes hold a lot of liquid, but are made of clear plastic, so unlike glass they are light and unbreakable. They are great for serving drinks by the pool or at a patio party, or for a children's table. Each carafe has its own flip-top lid for easy pouring.

We love these clear plastic carafes. They are a good size and very easy to clean. I suspect a little that they are plastic but so far they still look good and are holding up well. I like that they don't break easily. I can be a little sloppy with glassware so in that sense I'm okay with plastic and these decanters hold up well.

We use these clear plastic carafes with lids in our bed and breakfast guests' rooms. If it were for ourselves we would no doubt use glass carafes, but these carafes are lifesavers when it comes to accidents. They also look great with the clean and fresh ice water we pour in for guests. To keep them looking good, we wash them by hand instead of in the dishwasher. They are also good decanters for wine, where consuming wine increases the likelihood of them being accidentally destroyed by guests…
