I didn't realize until I read some reviews that you can't machine wash. I've had it for 4 years now and have washed it several times a year (continuous press/heating). However, I have a front loading/HE washing machine, so it's more forgiving than older agitator machines. The only problem I have is that it feels like a "pill" like a flannel sheet. When it comes out of the dryer I just use a razor to "shave off" the pills and a roller of tape to remove them and they're good as new.

It is very convenient to use, easy to roll up to put in a drawer, good heat resistance and size , but it is not recommended to put it in the washing machine, the stain is clean, which makes it difficult to keep clean, and there are no seams on the edges in two places. I left it because it wasn't that expensive and I'll get my money's worth. When I put it in the washing machine it may fall apart due to missing stitches. Maybe that's why the instructions say"Only stains". Hmmm. . .
