Burn Your House Down

Burn Your House Down Spring Loaded Plug 80 Amp Yes That's A Really Good Idea. Too bad because the device worked fine until I caught fire. I had to buy a real device for more than double the price, but I know the company makes quality devices. They laughed when I told him about the spring-loaded connection of this device. Burn down your house

Good value for money energy regulator

I've been using these charge regulators for a number of years now. You are very cool. I've worked with midnight suns and outbacks. They have built in fans and all the information is in the device itself. But I have to say if you buy an mt50 box with these devices it is much easier to use than any other brand. The only drawback is that there is no equalizer setting. If you want to call, you have to tell the controller that it's the 28th day of the month. This isn't really a disadvantage though…

Works great, easy to connect and works as it should.

Update: The OK button on the remote control has been stuck for 2 months. I pressed about a dozen times. I traveled in my van and it was amazing with a couple of Renogy solar panels. The remote control panel is also a bonus as many others don't have a panel. Displays PV voltage and current and charging voltage and current. It has many features and is well built. I run 3 panels on it and the unit never got hot, it has a very large heatsink which makes it nice when stored in a poorly ventilated…

Who cares what the controller does

I've overdone it a bit with my solar project, but this 100 amp pack packs a punch. We'll see how long that lasts, but I like the 2kW I'm getting. Update: After a week and a half of gathering sunlight, the MT 50 controller died or kept talking on a connection. So I called the company, they replaced it and the new replacement did the same. So I'm sending the device back because two MT 50 controllers can't go wrong. I saw about 2.2kW the first day I put it on. I saw 2.3kW and 89A on a very cold…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

. Tracer controllers have lost both quality and reliability. I used Tracer controllers as their largest MPPT controller was 40A. Your old controllers will indeed do what their specs say, but there aren't that many now, and what's worse, the Epever support team won't help you. I have a LIFEPO4 525Ah 24V battery and back then 8 x 240W panels wired in a 4s2p (152VDC) configuration. If you look at the specs of the 10420AH controller it should be able to handle it, but no, it literally blew it. The…

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers.
Cons
  • . Not as thick as the other options.

Works well and great factory help!

The controller works as described and does its job quite well. My solar energy collection system consists of 4 solar panels with a total output of 550 watts at 12 volts, an EPEVER MPPT solar charge controller. designed for 60 amps, 3 batteries of 100 Ah each and 1 inverter with an output of 4000 W from 12 to 115 volts. I have a problem with my MT50 Remote Monitor. The soft keys often caught in the surrounding plastic and had to be re-centered with a fingernail. This resulted in the button being

We were looking for a model for 100 amps, we got 80 amps.

The front had cosmetic damage and a broken support bracket which I super glued on. I haven't fully installed yet. But prepare a good outer case so you can drill ventilation holes in it and install a fan that runs on the temperature controlled relay board. Still working on this portable system. I moved. Battery pack in long ways, not sideways. And a bank 12v1410 Ah. This mppt controller will be rock, I'm buying 1200w 4 panels SLA300M 300w 32.8v. The box I installed these in has a built in 12v…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Replacement expected

update July 9th. The seller replied to replace the defective unit. More information will follow later. Maybe it was just bad luck or maybe it was just a bad unit. Worked like clockwork for almost 3 weeks. I have a 48v lithium battery 1220 pv 114 volt 11 amp 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter. I set it up with a PC program, it worked fine and I thought it did a good job. No big loads just my occasional saws, chargers for my tools and a couple of flashlights, the bare minimum of juice really. The…

WARNING! BUYER BEWARE OF THIS SELLER.

Updated 6/11/2021 So after I FINALLY got a warranty replacement and installed it worked fine for about a month. NOW recharges my batteries. The battery type is set to USER, the charge voltage limit to 27.8V, and the overvoltage cutoff to 27.9V. The charger overcomes these two settings PERFECTLY, pushing the charge voltage well above 28.3V+. I have to manually turn off the incoming switch to cut power from the panels so this thing doesn't burn my Li-Ion batteries. Every day I am more and more…

Pros
  • Easy install
