All glory to the sun!

This is a very important item that can be used for any solar panel. This MPPT controller turns on quickly and really gets the juice out of the solar panels. I have tested this controller with 25w panels and larger arrays. With a good MPPT controller you always get more power than with a speed-reduced MPPT or especially a PWM controller. This controller has many additional features and even allows LiFePO4 charging. To do this, however, you must know how to program the parameter. Oh, and getโ€ฆ

LOVE IT - my second controller and great for the money!

My favorite things. Super Efficient, Attractive, Good UI, Customizable, PriceZero Complaints. I can use this controller to control my i5 laptop and two small external monitors, two 100w daisy chain panels, a car battery and a Walmart inverter (isolated circuit via power strip). My goal was to make my home office climate-neutral and then learn from it. Edited later: I'm buying another of the 30 amp units for my second quad of 100 watt panels connected in series. The great thing about them isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • Damaged

I explicitly ordered a 30 ampere charge controller, the delivery description says 30 amperes. There are two labels on the charge controller box itself. A printed picture of the box says 10 amps. Next to it is a sticker later that says 30 amps. See photos of both labels. For some reason the Revain app crashed when I tried to upload the second image of the actual article. 10 amp model. I'm glad I opened the box to see the instructions. That's when I noticed that this is a much smaller capacitance

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Basically OK, but...

Big improvement over PWM

I "knew" that it would work better in low light (overcast days) but after three or four cloudy days with snow I'm very happy to be back home , with 12.9 to 13.4 V tag. The "software" is hard to set up and the interfaces overall annoying, but once you get the hang of it, it works well. I hope this will last for many years; Some say it only lasts a few years, but then again, more dissatisfied people post things than happy ones. I gave three points for the setup as I had to go to the folks on theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Very expensive

Switching from pwm to mppt is worth it.

After the second hurricane I decided to build a small emergency solar power system. I have 4-100 watt solar panels connected in series and 24 volts in parallel to reduce conduction losses and my batteries in parallel at 12 volts. The controller I used was an Epever vs3024 PWM which kept my batteries charged. The maximum current with the sun overhead on a clear day was exactly 11 amps, which was all I could expect from my series-parallel solar panels. I won't tell you my age but I've beenโ€ฆ
