Took less than 1 hour

I read a few reviews on this particular lamp before deciding to try it; You seem to have hit the mark whether you get a good lamp or not. I was feeling bad. It fits perfectly with my Epson 8350 home theater system with no installation problems. The image was as clear and bright as my own lamp. Decided to watch the movie and after 20 minutes of the movie the lightbulb in the lamp exploded. The lamp exploded with enough force to shatter the rear case glass, contaminating the interior of my…

I received a $200 Epson lightbulb - not aftermarket

I received my lightbulbs and was surprised to see that they are actually OEM products. They were identical to the original lamp in every respect, from the Chinese characters to the word "epson" molded into the plastic. I assume they get these lights from multiple vendors so maybe not everyone gets an OEM but I did. No issues with burns or smoking or other things people have posted (replace/clean air filter? Did you buy the wrong bulb for your projector?). If you touch the glass, you will…

Not exactly an OEM for video projector accessories

My Epson HomeCinema 8350's original lamp burned out in just 1200 hours (rather than the full 4000 advertised) so I ordered a replacement. serves its purpose, there is a quality difference to the original lamp and this one. This was particularly noticeable when projecting a blue desktop for my Windows home theater; there was a strange color flicker. I also noticed that some videos played through Apple TV had the same effect. I very much doubt this bulb will last even 1200 hours and I suspect it…

  • Useful beyond its intended purpose

s Lamps suitable for video projector accessories

works. That's the best I can say. This is not an Epson factory lamp, but that's something to know. As with MANY non-Epson lightbulbs, this lightbulb makes crazy beeping noises. For movies with a lot of dialogue, this will drive you a little crazy. You hear a beep, beep, beep. I spent about 100 hours with this bulb before the squeaking started. Thought I had a real winner as the price is hard to beat. If you are in a bind and want to have your projector up and running in 2 days, this is an…
