Never forget your patio light again

Our house has a "smart switch" on the porch, and it's smarter than me. I couldn't figure out how to program it to turn on in the dark and turn off in the daylight (the sensor is on a pole in the yard). Plug them into outlets, just leave the switch on and forget it. Bright daylight spectral light (may be a little bluish for some people who prefer soft white light of 2700K, which is equivalent to 5000K).

Pros
  • ❤ ENERGY SAVING: The ideal BR30 LED bulb uses less energy than an incandescent bulb.
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Even under a canopy, and one of them is somewhat blocked by a drainpipe, where they are in a dark place, they still respond acceptably and don't show up ridiculously early or stay ridiculously long after sunrise. in comparison, of course. Every photocell light I've ever had stays on for a while after the sun has risen far enough to see…
