Description of Ergodyne 3118F Absorbing Aluminum Carabiners

Approved to the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 standard. Shock absorbing properties reduce the dynamic force on the body or other anchor point if drop occurs. Durable 1680 denier polyester elastic blended webbing extends from 38-48in (96-122cm). Low profile lightweight design reduces snag hazards and added weight. Anodized aluminum alloy carabiners with double action locking gate and inherent captive eye. Ergonomic carabiner is designed for easily gripping and handling with gloves. High strength 3-ply nylon stitching secures connecting ends. Single length construction eliminates weak points seen with multi-component lanyards. Third party certified to a 15lbs (6.8kg) maximum capacity with 2:1 safety factor.

Damn, this thing is tough

I know it's not made for that, but. We towed a Polaris 750 Turbo 15 miles on rough trails at 50 mph with this thing and it held up. I have to say this is the most impressive ratchet strap I have ever seen. I will definitely order another one.

Pros
  • Drop protection
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

Working from stairs all day, I needed something to keep my tools from falling on the floor. I bought this along with two Ergodyne power tool traps, I can work at height and not have to worry about damaging the tool if it falls or injuring someone working below me.

Pros
  • Personal Protective Equipment
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
