I wore this balaclava over another company's balaclava snowboarding last weekend due to the inclement weather. The frost was -35 degrees and I was warm enough. The holes in the mask are big enough to keep you warm while breathing when you pull the mask over your mouth which is great. However, the face mask part is very loose. It worked as expected and kept my face, ears and neck nice and warm. Until the front part covering my mouth starts to come off and since it has come off the mask doesn't warm my face when now it's easy to blow cold air through the big gap. It fits me, I can ask someone I know to sew it for me but I'm disappointed with the poor workmanship.

This face mask has proven itself on the slopes. It warmed my face despite strong wind, blizzard and snow. And it didn't cause my Google to fog up. The only issue is that I wasn't wearing a hat (didn't need it with the helmet) and the velcro straps tended to snag and stick to everything else. Not that big of a deal but it would be better if they put the loop side on the bottom and the hook part on the lid.

Warm is good but I've had better balaclavas. The eyes are a little uncomfortably close to the eyes or too far down the cheeks depending on how you position them - fog goggles - the velcro on the mask and head unit makes no sense in the way they are positioned . If I connect them as is, they don't sit well on my head. In order to fit better, I have to attach the fleece with velcro, which of course does not fit well.

This balaclava is definitely not the best quality. It's also "one size fits all" so be prepared for it not to fit and for it to constantly slip off your face unless your head is huge. If it were possible to adjust the bottom it would be MUCH better even considering the poor build quality. As soon as I unpacked it, I could see that the seams would soon burst right in front of my nose. Better to spend a few bucks more and get a higher quality item if possible.

I've read reviews from people who bought it for motorcycling and others who use it for work. I'm here to tell you it's not worth it. If you zoom in and look at the mouth area. Look at those little breathing holes. Oh well. It feels like icy silver hitting my face. There were only 34 and my dacha froze in that area. I am a person who hates being cold. I needed a warm cover for my face, neck and head. As I always wore a standard balaclava I took the chance and bought the N-Ferno 6827 which turned out to be a great decision on my part. This hat keeps my head, face and neck warm even during a recent snow storm with high winds for several days.
