ESR Hybrid Case Compatible With IPad Mini 6 (8 Tablet Accessories Review

I bought this case for my new iPod Mini 6 because it fits an Apple Pencil and the front cover is magnetically removable. I'm happy to report that the magnet on the removable cover is strong. However, I was very disappointed to find that this case lacks the sleep/wake function, which ruins a decent case for the iPad Mini 6.

This bag is very durable and well made. The removable lid is a nice touch for added versatility. A major downside could be that the auto sleep/wake feature is not working/missing in the current iteration of the case. A key factor for me personally, as the convenience of simply flipping the case lid over and closing it to access the screen is the quintessence of everyday use of the case.

Such a great concept that needs a refresh now that the iPad mini has come out. The lack of auto wake/sleep annoys me and kills the battery. It's a shame because I really like the occasion. The return has begun. Will buy again when the problems are fixed. Thanks to ESR we look forward to trying this again in the future now that you actually have a Mini to see how it works.

FIX: Changed from 5 stars to 3 stars due to wake/sleep feature not working. (Original review): It's (currently) impossible to find another actual separate lid base shell. The case fits perfectly, as does the lid. I don't like the Apple 1pc OEM case because: 1) The sides aren't covered 2) The cover is attached 3) Ridiculously expensive This is exactly what I was looking for.

Pros: - The case is great for the iPad mini and many times smaller than Apple solutions. - It fits the screen with a protective film - Doesn't interfere with power buttons Touch ID functionality - Feels relatively protective but isn't overly clunky.
