These are quality glass bottles but they are not sealed and do not trap carbon dioxide. I have brewed beer in this bottle as well as in another brand. The other brand kept the fizz and generated significant pressure. They did nothing and released all the pressure. Buy them for things that don't require you to maintain pressure in the bottle. If you don't want to bottle your beer, these are excellent quality bottles.

The lowest quality imaginable. They have an Italian sounding name but I don't think they are made in Italy or the US. Two were broken upon arrival. They looked greasy and smelled like salad dressing. I washed them with hot soapy water and filled them with water but after a few hours the water tasted weird. Revain shouldn't be selling these bottles. You don't have to buy them. I send them back and buy real Italian ones.

I would not use these bottles to make homemade carbonated drinks that involve fermentation and need to be opened to relieve pressure. I make ginger beer and used four of these bottles for one batch. For the most part I had no problems, but today one opened very abruptly and part of the top part broke off and got between my eyes. There are big ol' bubbles in the glass in every bottle. Everyone. Lonely. Bottle. I should have read the reviews but unfortunately the price put me off. Lesson Learned: Never hit the Buy Now button too quickly, and don't forget to do it. There is no way this can be safe for pressurized beverages. My kombucha and solid kombucha will shatter any jar, and with small children and pets in the house, it's just not worth the risk. They were very good value for the price so I think I got what I paid for. The bottles are cute and can be used as vases/decorations/or small bottles pre-filled with party drinks. Therefore they are not rated with 1 star. BUT three of mine arrived with hairline cracks that I didn't even notice until I hand washed them before first use (note: they're not easy to wash).
