Great as a cake plate but the lid will not fit a locked vegetable plate

I chose 5 stars because I really like the cake plate. I like the look, shorter stand and lid. It looks great and keeps my baked goods fresh. My only disappointment is that I used it as a vegetable plate and the lid didn't fit over the vegetables - the diameter of the lid is too small. I gave it 5 stars anyway, but it's not as versatile as I was hoping.

Nice and wide but sits low on the counter

I love this cake stand! It's wide and tall enough to fit a two-tier cake without worrying about frosting the sides and top. (Maybe even 3 tiers, although I haven't tested it.) I like the fact that it's placed a bit lower on the table as it doesn't bother the patrons conversing across the table. The small dots on the edge are beautiful and give it that certain something. Glass is very heavy. I love it.

THIS CAKE STAND IS PLASTIC, NOT GLASS!

I don't understand why so many reviews say it's glass. The moment I picked it up off the porch, I knew it wasn't glass. It was too light to be glass. Once you open it up and see it, there's no doubt that it's plastic. The ads and many reviews claim it's glass. Perhaps there are two versions of this stand. All I can say is don't be fooled it's glass. It's not like this. This thing goes back to where it came from. If I wanted a plastic cake pan I would order one of the cheaper plastic cake pans.
