🌬️ New EVAPORATOR - Enhanced EVAP Core/Assembly Review

Good. so he (the "collector".?) was just a little out of order, which was probably easy to fine tune/bend properly, but the mechanic insisted it wasn't the right one and aborted the install entirely. I'm giving it 4 stars because it wasn't broken or smashed, it could have worked fine with a few small adjustments.

I replaced the air conditioning on my 1998 Honda Civic Ex Coupe because the compressor had shot through and out of refrigerant. I bought this vaporizer because during a major overhaul I discovered that my old vaporizer was rusty and leaking. I swapped it out and now it's freezing after putting everything back together and charging. The only problem I had was that it didn't fit 100% in the standard spool box. I had to modify the box a bit to make it fit, but it's okay. The rest works perfectly.

Great price and fast delivery. Customer support is great - answered the phone and my questions. The device had loose clamps on the inlet/outlet tubing to the core site. When the clamp was tight, the hoses still wobbled and rotated very easily. UAC's engineering department offered to return for an exchange. I was in the middle of an overhaul for a daily driver and halfway through my week-long "vacation," so I improvised. Took off the brackets and sanded carefully to make the gap a little smaller

It was packaged great so I can't figure out how/why I had to bend the aluminum so much to get everything in the right place for the expansion valve. Then, even when everything seemed to be in place, the smaller tube had to be firmly tightened by tightening the nut, which I did after leaving it in the hot sun all day to make the aluminum more flexible. It only grabbed the very first thread and had to go down almost 2cm to fit. After all that, the part that tucks into the firewall to connect to…
