Expanding ring mandrel is precision machined to hold your rings snug while turning in a lathe. Made with stainless steel and a 1/2" base to fit a variety of chucks. Extra room on each ring size to accommodate tape to keep the inside of your rings scratch free. FOR PROPER FUCTION, PLEASE APPLY A LAYER OR TWO OF TAPE ON THE STEP YOU WILL BE USING. THIS HELPS PROTECT THE INSIDE OF YOUR RING AT THE SAME TIME. Each step on the mandrel is a half size. (For example, size 4-7 fits 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7). Hex tool included with each mandrel.

Shaking when turning.

I didn't think they wobble in a lathe for the price, but two out of three wobble quite a lot. They are not of very good quality.

Pros
  • Extra space on each ring size for tape to avoid scratching the inside of the rings. FOR CORRECT WORK PLEASE APPLY ONE COAT OR TWO TAPES TO LEVEL TO BE USED. THIS WILL AT THE SAME TIME HELP PROTECT THE INSIDE OF YOUR RING.

Returned 8 minutes after his arrival

Item received. Tried to fix it by turning the bolt, the bolt was very tight. It was very difficult to get the screw out, either the threads in the expander were bad or the screw threads were bad or they used a stainless steel screw and the threads were frayed, maybe they should have put something in there that never sticks but that's not mine task to fix it.
