Much brighter than 75w halogen

Halogen bulbs provide a warm glow that looks good in a 5" downlight. I was looking for an LED equivalent to halogen bulbs. appropriate, too bright, side by side above my kitchen island. LEDs are PITA because the ratings don't seem to mean much. It says 3000K and 900 lumens. Then try 2700K and 800 lumens. I think if you had dimmers and for 12ft ceilings it would be fine but didn't work for me.

You haven't switched off!

I ordered these as they were a lot cheaper than the similar Philips brand. They were installed on my hob to replace the 50w halogen bulbs. The source has 3 settings for different outputs (35%, 65% and 100%). After installation, I noticed that when I pressed the OFF button on the source, the light stayed on at about 15% brightness. They just don't switch off completely! I sent them back and ordered a Philips PAR20 LED kit and had no problems. Perfect lighting for more! YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOUโ€ฆ

Ideal for your TV/entertainment area.

I just love these lanterns. Firstly, finding a blue par 30 headlight is difficult. Two years ago I decided to buy a blue Par38 Flood and needed to plug an extension cord into the outlet. I hated how my family room looked where we watch TV. I called a lot of lamp companies and nobody carried a par 30. I was happy to find this on Revain but I thought it was too good to be true but I took a chance and I'm glad I found it! It has a good range of dimmer options. I like the deeper blue that there isโ€ฆ
