From dusk to dawn, the insect bulb works for us.

Bought this yellow bulb to reduce bugs on our back porch. It took several nights as the insects are so used to our normal white light but after about 5 days I would say 80% of all insects were gone. I personally hate bugs and live in a village where there are no other houses for bugs to get into. Our house attracted hundreds of bugs every night, making it impossible to open our doors without bugs. This dusk-to-dawn bug bulb caused quite a stir. big difference. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Outstanding brightness and lifespan: brighter than A19 60-watt green incandescent lamp, industry-leading rated lifespan of 25,000 hours.
Cons
  • Damaged

Maybe 5 Stars These dimmable amber LED bulbs did a better job of keeping bugs from luring onto my porch than other amber bulbs I've tried that turn on at dusk and off at dawn and that's great these LED bulbs are dimmable; Not all LED bulbs are dimmable. However, these bulbs attracted some bugs. However, the colored LED bulb does not attract insects at night, in which case these bulbs deserve 5 stars. Dusk.

Pros
  • Warning: This bulb is compatible with most dimmers on the market. In the rare event that incompatible issues arise, such as B. Flickering, blinking or uneven dimming, please return the bulbs for a full refund.
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Ideal for my application

I have a porch light on my front door that uses two standard 100w incandescent bulbs connected in series so it glows much softer and at a lower operating voltage (60v instead of 120v is an old trick for patio lighting and the like). I replaced them with two 5W dimmable LED bulbs and they worked great, running at almost their full 400 lumens despite the reduced individual 60V voltage on each bulb and only consuming 5W due to the series connection. Also the bright yellow-orange light looks much…

Pros
  • Intense Green: Up to twice the color intensity of conventional green lamps thanks to the direct emission of green light from the Green LED chips.
Cons
  • I'll add later
