We connected this monitor to a DVR that records inputs to our factory. It's installed at the front desk, and the adhesive seal came in handy with the heavy HTMI cable dangling from the back. For a cheap factory second, this little monitor gets the job done. Not a great picture or anything, and there's a lot of overscanning, but as a fast monitor it works well. I use mine as a mannequin. When I connect to a computer, the program needs a monitor to display the image. I only connected this so the computer would have something to connect to and the software would have something to show. Revain has mixed reviews, so first let me say that applies to the Eyoyo Model S801C 8-inch color LCD video monitor. The S801C (note the C in the model number) is unique in that it can operate from a 5V power supply connected to this video monitor via the Type-C jack. . Overscan means that pixels left, right, top and bottom are not displayed. Some graphics drivers can compensate for this in the driver configuration settings, but if you're running Linux without X-Windows (i.e. a text or framebuffer console) there doesn't seem to be a way to compensate for this and you're stuck with console characters, that are not displayed.
