Purchased EZDIY-FAB 2-Port USB3.0 + USB3.1 Type C GEN 2 5.25 inch Front USB Hub [20-pin Connector - 73cm cable ] USB hub with metal faceplate, USB3.1 extension cable with 10Gbps high speed data transfer, mainly to add a Type-C port on the front of my case. I'm very happy with it so far. It supports Gen 2 and is not too expensive.

As long as your motherboard has an extra header, this front panel will do the trick. Pros: Plug-n-Play Fits in the extra front chassis bay when not using a DVD and have a seat. Cable long enough to get to. Direct connection to the motherboard.

A well made metal USB hub designed for the future. With USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 ports. The USB 3.1 cable has a new connector for the new USB 3.1 motherboard socket. The USB 3.0 cable has a 19+1 connector for the old-style motherboard connector. Good material, although the caption is wrong. You can still tell which is which by looking at the sockets.

In the end, with some effort, I installed it on top of the case and not in the drive bay. The front of the hub is brushed painted metal, not cheap plastic! My only complaint would be that I wish the USB 3.1 cable was longer. For a front mount 3.1 application, you need a very small case to plug into your motherboard's 3.1 header.
