Good product! - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Purchased EZDIY-FAB 2-Port USB3.0 + USB3.1 Type C GEN 2 5.25 inch Front USB Hub [20-pin Connector - 73cm cable ] USB hub with metal faceplate, USB3.1 extension cable with 10Gbps high speed data transfer, mainly to add a Type-C port on the front of my case. I'm very happy with it so far. It supports Gen 2 and is not too expensive.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Long wait

Easy way to add USB to the front of the case

As long as your motherboard has an extra header, this front panel will do the trick. Pros: Plug-n-Play Fits in the extra front chassis bay when not using a DVD and have a seat. Cable long enough to get to. Direct connection to the motherboard.

Pros
  • Easy to read front panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Very well made USB hub with faceplate

A well made metal USB hub designed for the future. With USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 ports. The USB 3.1 cable has a new connector for the new USB 3.1 motherboard socket. The USB 3.0 cable has a 19+1 connector for the old-style motherboard connector. Good material, although the caption is wrong. You can still tell which is which by looking at the sockets.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • No mold required

Works great!: USB hubs

In the end, with some effort, I installed it on top of the case and not in the drive bay. The front of the hub is brushed painted metal, not cheap plastic! My only complaint would be that I wish the USB 3.1 cable was longer. For a front mount 3.1 application, you need a very small case to plug into your motherboard's 3.1 header. Came with a USB 3.1 flat cable, not the same as pictured but a little easier to bend.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Very expensive

Powered by Gigabyte X570 Master

I upgraded my 7 year old 3770k to a Ryzen 3900x, wow what a difference. My old Antec P280 case was fine but didn't have a USB-C port. I did a little research. and stopped there, just installed and tested. Easy installation, high speed (most of the time). 3 cables were great, 400-500Mbps speed from Samsung T5 and 860 EVO with SATA to Auros PCIE 4.0 NVME adapter. But one cable was slow, one was very slow and the other didn't work, the last one was weird as it connects perfectly and quickly to the

Pros
  • Rugged build
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Great product with a great company behind it. Highly recommended!

I rarely write reviews but wanted others to know that this product works great and that the company stands by their products. While you can only contact them via messenger or email, they have very responsive support. If you're wondering why I know this, it's because I thought the particular USBC 3.1 wasn't working properly (it was charging but not transferring data). If this happens, check and make sure the cable is fully connected to the jack (mine wasn't). I actually heard a click when Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Good but not great

EZDIY-Fab 2-Port USB3.0-A + USB3.1-C GEN 2 Faceplate Works great

Use this with the Gigabyte X299 Gaming 7 Pro Mobile Device in the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass Case. Ideal solution for modern motherboards that offer USB 3.0 Superspeed (aka USB 3.1 Gen 1) and USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and attach them to the front of the case (assuming you have spare space for a 5.25-inch -Drive). My mobo supports 2x USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB 3.1 port (designed to support Type-C ports). While it's fairly easy to find cases and front panel modules that plug into
