This remote works great as long as you have the right compatible Fanimation fan to work with. I use this remote to control my Slinger II fan that I bought at Lowe's.

I was told it would work with quorum fans. I will not. I bought it. Furnished. Didn't work with my quorum fan. Transport and packaging are recycled. Couldn't return. Stuck with a $50 wall switch.

One thing to note - this is not really a wall mounted fan controller - it is a permanently mounted fan remote built into the wall (it even needs a battery). Just guessing, but I would guess that if your existing remote doesn't reach the fan, then it doesn't either. So keep that in mind when you order. Otherwise it looks much cleaner than if my remote was attached to the wall with velcro :)

This product has been taken out of the packaging. The light switch works on/off, but none of the fan or dimming functions work. The program initiation does nothing. Since I see that other users have no problems, I can only assume that we have a non-separable. Since it's cumbersome to install/remove and the detachable/wall mount that came with the fan works so well, I'm simply returning this wall switch. So far I like my fan animation Slinger V2.

I was hoping that this wall mount remote would be compatible with the Lowes Harbor Breeze Saratoga 60" ceiling fan but apparently not. I was unable to sync my Fanimation Wand Controller with the built-in Fan Receiver. So we connected the fan to a simple switch and settled for the included remote control. Unfortunately, newer remotes seem to have incompatible timing "learn" features.

Ideal for Fanimation fans. I used this for a 72" Slinger fan I bought from Lowes. I have two Slinger fans and two wall mounted controllers. You need to program the remote to the fan, which takes about 60 seconds. It's easy to change the code on the remote control and have multiple fans around the house. There is no code to change on the fan --- just the remote control. This makes it much more convenient. You will not regret this wall control!

This was purchased with a Lowe's Harbor Breeze 72" Slinger ceiling fan. Fananimation makes ventilators under the Harbor Breeze brand name. The other controls the fan. The fan I purchased comes with a Remote control supplied and the fan only works with the remote, I searched the internet and chose this because it mounts on the wall in the light switch so I don't have to worry about losing the remote control that came with the fan.
