Great idea but you can't wear them on a dog. You need to use something stronger than velcro. The dog just trembles or twitches. However, it would be okay if the dog cooperated.

I have 3ib.8oz. a Yorkie who doesn't like to get their feet wet. ordered them in xsmall after reading the review. the boots were all they said they just couldn't tell a tight elastic wouldn't even help to hold on. His legs are so narrow they should have been xxx small, were good value except for the size.

Boots are well constructed. Underneath is a small plastic pad for the handle. You have to tighten them tightly to keep them in place. They kept his feet dry in rain and snow. (within 30 min) at once. I'm very satisfied with this product. I ordered a large for a 4 month old boxer and it should last all winter.

These boots are difficult to put on and the velcro doesn't hold them on very well. I read reviews that said some customers should have bought a size down so I did. It's still a bit difficult to put on. Once put on, our pup finds it difficult to keep his balance. Sometimes he slips because he doesn't hold up well, and sometimes he loses his shoe. We have yet to use it in the rain or snow, but if it's already difficult to use at home, I'm sure it will be even more difficult outside.

In theory, that's good. The seller shipped them surprisingly quickly. However, when I sent my pup (he weighs 60 pounds at 8 months) out in the rain, I was surprised he came back in it. No matter how tight you lock them, he "could" use his teeth to pull them off. I also noticed that his paws were wet after I took them off. POOH! Not waterproof as water has passed through them. The upper of the boot has a nice faux sheepskin cuff as shown in the photo which is great but the rest of the boot does it is thin nylon. . I have 2 Chihuahua mix breeds, 8 and 10 pounds each, and a very small one who is very large on the smaller one - the traction patch under the paw is so wide that his gait becomes pretty ridiculous. Not so much boots as slippers. They appear to be thin plastic nylon and didn't stay put while my dog was out walking so they wore out fairly quickly; especially outside. Even the ones that even fit as intended eventually came loose at the stitching around the rubber pad. I ended up wrapping them in duct tape to fix them and it seemed to work fine until I was able to buy new ones that are stronger and fit better. Just be a little gentle on your dog's paw to keep the padding where it should be…
