We don't use them for hockey, but as a supplement to car lifting plates. They fit snugly into the holes on the lift arms and are very gentle on the vehicles that could get scratched or damaged when lifting with the metal plates. Rubber covers from elevator companies are 10 times more expensive than those amazing hockey pucks. That was the total score! :D

I used these to make some body mounts for my 2000 Ford Ranger 2.5. I froze them and drilled through the middle to get metal bushings for my new screws. It worked great and the guys at the shop who filled up my AC were pleasantly surprised to see the old hot rod trick on the Ranger. According to other reviews, these things (obviously) stink like hell like rubber. Open them up in the garage and place them in ziplock bags when you freeze them.

For the price you pay they are ok. I agree the smell is a bit strong but I don't waste time sniffing pucks. In terms of durability, they should be better. We play in the Major Adult League and these goals are almost going to be scored. Some of them are missing parts and some even show signs of cracking. Not sure if we had a bad batch or if they don't hold up very well. Overall they are ok for the price if you only use them for practice and shooting.

I bought these to use as benches: the things you use to lift blanks on benches for painting, cutting, sanding etc. I glued a layer of non-slip rubber on top and bottom works great. The washers are very strong and a good weight for this application. They have a really strong "new rubber" smell as other reviewers have noted, but they sit in my garage and the smell goes away after a while. The included mesh bags are also good for storage.
