GREAT pears! - Light bulbs

I have been purchasing these bulbs through Home Depot for several years. The quality is not to be commended. I use them in my 120 volt garden lights. Saving energy is the reason why I chose LEDs, Phillips amber bulbs, and although the color is very yellow, this is no longer a problem. I'm used to dimming incandescent bulbs which give off a warm yellow light which I prefer. However, count fifteen 60-watt lightbulbs! So now I'm ordering them through Revain and saving money. Recommend, especially…

Pros
  • Easy installation

LED insect light: LED lamps

So no insect light drives away insects! The bug lamp works by emitting light that is invisible to bugs and insects. Most importantly, bugs cannot see yellowish light. So try not to put them on, it makes sense. The incandescent lamp had one major disadvantage; it gave off heat that attracted the bugs! Conventional LEDs produce less UV radiation, which also attracts fewer insects; but not enough to just turn off the ordinary LED light bulb, you'd better use the insect repellent yellow light bulb.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Okay, this is by far the brightest bug light I've ever had.

To be honest I wish it wasn't so bright when I use it. It distracts somewhat from my landscape lighting. However, now it's certainly easier to see the garbage being taken out. Over the last 20 years I have tried different types here. I just hope this bug light lasts as long as they say. Let's face it, LEDs don't last long enough for most of us to know or tell if they're going to last as long as advertised. My experience with them so far is that the ones I've tried didn't look any better than…
