Simple and functional

extension is an extension. Ok some have other purposes like a surge etc. It's just an outlet with an extension cord. With 15 feet cable. That's what I was looking for. I needed a longer cord than most extension cords provide. So it was perfect for my needs. I live in a very old house with wiring updated in the 70's. Of course, I can't overload any of my outlets with modern electronics. I updated a couple of outlets, one of which I connected to this one.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • reliability

I bought this because I was moving furniture and networking equipment, including a Powerline AV500 (Netgear XAVB5101) extender, across the room. First, I bought an extension cord with a surge protector. This forgets that the performance of the powerline network degrades quickly when surge protection is in place. That Fellowes 6-outlet strip doesn't have it, and I've been getting 100Mbps through a power strip for months, like I was plugged straight into an outlet. Oh yes, I almost forgot: The…

Perfect for me on power strips and surge protectors

When installing a new home entertainment center in the living room, I realized I needed more outlets, but at the same time I wanted to eliminate the use of a power strip that I used with my previous extension cord that only had a 3 foot cord. This was the perfect extension cord for me as the cord was heavy duty and 15ft long so I didn't have to use an extension cord. It also has a backlit power button, which I like as I can quickly tell if the strip has power. The only downside, not for me but…

Works great for power strips and surge protectors

It's been working great for the past few days. Our landlord will not repair our sockets or install new ones even if we pay for them. They say yes but never show up. So I have to hook up a dryer and a freezer because there is only one outlet in each room and many of them don't work. And it works great with my dryer and small freezer. They say don't connect it to a surge protector because if something happens it might never turn on again because it will already shut itself off. This could destroy

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expandable

Good price for a long cable

The device looks better than average: the cable is good, thick, works exactly as intended. This is much better than plugging a surge protector into a power strip, as most cheap power strips aren't thick enough to handle the stress that most people put on surge protectors. The only major downside is the connector configuration (which I was aware of beforehand). purchase) For the price, it would be greedy to expect more than the standard 6-in-a-row, but it can be a little impractical when dealing

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • Concise instructions
