It's very slow, but it's best to go back to the truck.

It's very slow but it's better than going back to the truck to get a big and bulky piece of equipment this tool can do and it's actually pretty accurate. Compare it to a temperature/humidity/wet bulb/dew point sensor and it proved accurate with two recalibrated sensors.

Pros
  • Sturdy surface
Cons
  • I don't remember

Accurate, feels cheaply made. Plastic, not metal

Great tool, only reason for 4 stars is that I wish it was about an inch longer for lined ducts and should be metal rather than plastic. The thread on the protective cap tears easily. The measurements are accurate, and as long as it's in its place in the tool bag, you should be fine.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Trade in

Ease of use: Multitester

Easy to use and easy to read. Appears to be a quality product. The only complaint I can think of is the size. It's 3-4 times the size of a pen that you can put in your pocket and slightly larger. I didn't remove the star because I had room for it in my tool bag and it's small enough to easily fit in yours. I am happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Secret

Is it worth buying?

Bought this as another accessory for wet bulb options. Oh boy! This portable device is big. It's not pocket-sized. All logos and imprints on this device came off within a week (just wipe with clean hands). Will definitely not buy again due to size and value for money. Another $30 and you could have just bought a third wireless probe. It would help if the field piece made it three times smaller.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Easy to use, good size, not fragile.

Works great, it takes a few seconds for the humidity and temperature readings to stabilize. The lid wasn't a problem, it's a plastic thread. As long as you don't screw the nuts back and forth on the car, you'll have no problem with this device. If you treat it like any other measuring tool (don't drop it or treat it like a hand tool), it will serve you for quite a long time. It has been used in several places and rotates around my truck's console with no problems.

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Modern

Good HVAC tool but fragile

I use it regularly in my job as an HVAC service technician. It accurately calculates the internal and external dry bulb to calculate the superheat for checking or charging the AC system. It's a good work tool, but it has its drawbacks: - it doesn't fit in a shirt pocket - it's too long - it's a bit fragile. Don't twist the top too much or the insides will twist inside the case and damage it. Don't drop it. I broke 2 in 5 years but I'm not good with tools. Temperature registration can be slow.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • old

I bought the PRH2 thinking it would be a handy tool to take with me. No, that is not so. This lasted 2 weeks, then the board broke/cracked in the top from twisting and removing the cover. If it worked, then it was fine. As others have said, it's very slow to get to accurate reading. And switching between different dimensions wasn't a smooth process, as you had to repeatedly press a button to switch from one to the other. Don't waste your $$.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good tool but beware of the plastic threads on the lid

The PRH2 is a handy tool and I've used it many times in the short time I've had it to determine a wet bulb to calculate the target superheat. . The size is spot on and I keep it in my Veto TP4 when not in use. I wanted to give it 5 stars but the plastic threads on the lid and the device don't match well. In fact, if you're not careful, you can easily, very easily, overstep the thread. So be careful. I can unscrew the cap, but it's less than a full turn, which doesn't seem natural. If that capโ€ฆ
