Description of FiiO FD3 Earphones Hi-Res 1DD In-Ear Monitors MMCX Connector Flagship-Level DLC Diamond Diaphragm 4 Strands Of High-Purity Monocrystalline Copper Wires (Silver)

[Flagship-level DLC diamond diaphragm, for an amazing, powerful sound]: The FD3 headphones benefits from the numerous advantages of FiiO's new dynamic driver. The diaphragm is made of Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) which is both impressively rigid and helps to reduce unneeded distortion yet also surprisingly light, allowing the driver to have excellent transient response. The result is a driver with excellent sound quality and minimal distortion with the added bonus of being ultra-sensitive. [Flagship-grade acoustic prism, take your breath away]: The acoustic prism so effectively used in the flagship FD5 for great sound quality is also featured in the FD3. Like with the FD5, the acoustic prism system brings numerous benefits such as eliminating high frequency standing waves, enhancing overall sound wave diffusion, and even effectively solving the problem of time delay caused by sound wave propagation path in the cavity. This all leads to marvelous sound quality. [Better sound with semi-open design, makes you less tiring and the sound less forced]: The semi-open design of the FD3 based on FiiO's patented technology for balanced air pressure within brings several advantages. Not only does such a design lead to more natural sound, but it also effectively protects your hearing by balancing air pressure within the FD3 leading to less pressure on your eardrums. [2.5D film coating glass faceplate] The unique celluloid panel is covered with 2.5D film coating glass for a pure yet fresh transparent look. And the aluminum-magnesium alloy of the body makes the FD3 exceptionally light, making it easier and more pleasurable to carry around. And the aluminum-magnesium alloy main body is made in an industrial process combining five-axis CNC processing and hand polishing. [Well-equipped just for you] The well-received interchangeable sound tubes also make an appearance on the FD3, The cable adopts an expanded MMCX connector for easier cable changes; the curved audio plug design makes it easier to plug into; and 4 strands of high-purity monocrystalline copper wires for a total of 120 wires make your music and vocals simply vivid.

excellent cable included with pro version

I bought the pro version because of the excellent cable upgrade. It includes 3 different easy-to-use connectors, so you can use balanced mode and normal one-way connection. They sound great, with full spectrum, nice soundstage and very good detail. Highly recommended and great value for money.

Great IEM, worth it!

I took the opportunity to see if they are any better than the Fiio FH-3. I still like the FH-3s, but I like these more. The only thing that struck me about them is the drums. It's like standing behind the drummer. I recommend them, but some might like a more upscale extension. I bought the standard wired version and put on the sterling silver cable and it sounds great. Recommend this. They have more mid-range detail than the Fiio FH-3.

Incredible IEMs in this price range

I've been using these FD3s for about 2 weeks now. Can't get out of my ears! I am very happy with it. I also have an FH5 with four speakers and they sound very different than these. Much wider soundstage and too bright for my liking, I left them because I like them sometimes. These FD3s are amazing and hit hard. I have a pro with pro cables and love the black it looks amazing. I think the cable is important. On weekends I use the Fiio Pro cable and switch to the Shute cable so I have a…

Fun and energetic IEM. You definitely can't go wrong with them.

I have been using FH3 as my daily IEM for about 6 months and FD3 is totally superior to it.1. Single DD means you don't have to rely on different driver technologies to work together, no sometimes odd BA timbre. Fast and punchy bass, I like to use them with many bass-heavy EDM subgenres. I was expecting that using DLC on the diaphragm instead of beryllium would be a downside, but honestly I'd say it's on par, if not slightly better than the FH3.3 in terms of bass quality. The mids can be a bit…

Sound tuning improvement

I prefer the non-pro version because the silver color of the non-pro version is more attractive to me and has a more classic meaning. It has two sound tubes, I prefer the tweeter sound tubes which can provide a more detailed sound with the right ear tips. My DAC/amp is a BTR5 which handles the FD3 very well. What I like best about the FD3 is that there's plenty of bass without being muddy. The mids are dense without feeling empty, the high frequencies are quite stretched. Ready for evaluation…

They don't fit or sound bad

They're not terrible. I would classify them as "conditionally good" headphones. When I first opened the box I was blown away by the good workmanship, all metal. I was shocked at how good the cable is even though I don't like mmcx. I was impressed with the full set of ear tips as well as the spare tips in case they get stuck. In fact, I was totally impressed with the headphones until I tried them on. After trying each tip for 10 minutes I still couldn't find a good fit. When I picked the ones…
