Shoulder straps come loose easily and access to main compartment is difficult due to buckles. As a Filson, this bag is surprisingly poorly thought out.

Very well made, old school. It looks good, is easy to carry and roomy. The only negative is that there are few branches. In my opinion, this is a trifle compared to all the pluses.

Double ring clasps are very easy to release and there are no easy access pockets. Stylish, but incredibly impractical. especially considering the price.

Something about the design of this backpack feels a lot better on my back than previous backpacks I've had. I'm a college student who walks around with lots of books most of the time and this backpack has been a huge improvement. Aesthetically, I like that it doesn't have external pockets. The backpack doesn't look childish and allows me to wear it in a wider range of situations compared to some other backpacks that I would rather leave at home for serious social or academic events.
