Best Value for Money

A little hard to understand at first but the best way to learn how to use it is to watch all the videos on YouTube. Videos and photos taken outdoors during the day were good enough for social media and print publications.

Great cardan shaft: Accessories

Great cardan shaft. I have a DJI Osmo Pocket and a Snoppa Vmate. Functionality and stability are priceless. Pocket still leads the way in video quality. The Palm is definitely my go-to for running and gunshooting, and it has now found its place as my pocket camera.

Palm should work correctly by default but it doesn't

The Palm came with outdated firmware for the camera and gimbal. Downloading and installing updates is difficult. Swiping on the touchscreen doesn't always work. Hope the updated firmware helps. Plan for persistent control of the camera through the application, where switching modes etc. is easier and doesn't depend on a qualified "touch" like a swipe does. A better and more complete instruction manual is needed. I would buy the printed version, but I suspect Palm is too early and not well…

If you're not a patient tech nerd, skip this one.

This is quite a fun little device. Its strongest feature is the 4k video you can record with it. In fact, this is an action camera for outdoor enthusiasts. However, it is very fragile and finicky to operate and use. The YouTube videos I've watched don't address how difficult it is to control the settings. DO NOT BUY AFTER MAY 2020!

The camera is not working. Crashes when trying to reformat the MicroSD card. I followed the instructions exactly. I thought maybe it just needs a firmware update so I went to the manufacturer's website and all the links to all the firmware updates lead to a 404 error page. There are many comments on the FIMI manufacturer's YouTube channel posting asking a firmware link update or fixes because the latest firmware update has crashed the system and the camera is not working at all. Some REALLY BAD annoyances will render your footage almost useless.

I really wanted to love this camera. my biggest problem Aside from initial poor audio firmware issues and the IOS app crashing when logging in, you get the CLIPS when you want to use the joystick and/or rotate the gimbal to selfie mode, or even straighten the gimbal camera. You have to press the power/record button twice to level the camera or press it three times to switch to selfie mode.
