Ironically, this product is simply stunning. This case, designed to protect my laptop, ended up destroying my MacBook's screen and now it's completely broken. This case is not durable at all and it is cracked on one of the edges. I didn't think it mattered much so I taped the corner (it was a chip) but it kept chipping off in one of the tiny corners and a piece flew to the bottom of my screen without my knowledge. I closed my laptop and that was it. This caused the piece to crash into my screen

(slight lifting is advertised, not sure). It has some kind of film on it that gives it a leather/rubber feel, which I like as it gives some grip. It feels like it added a bit of weight as it's a bit firm and not as brittle as others I've tried. There was a small factory half inch area that had a small remnant of an outer faux leather film that I had just wiped off.
