I installed this kit (new 9005 and H8 2021) on a 2019 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E and no trouble codes. Fog lights (H8) are much brighter and have a wider beam than halogen bulbs. Can see more from the front and side. The 9005 replaced the halogen high beams, which were a yellow tint and couldn't see very far ahead of the truck or to the side. After thinking about how to replace the very poor quality headlights on a 2006 Subaru Forester, I settled on Firehawk LEDs. They are very bright (see before and after photos). after swapping the low/high beam and fog lights, i had no errors (turn signals, permanent high beam, etc.) they are as easy to install as a halogen bulb, i had to adjust the direction of the headlight as well as the beam pattern, but that was easy too. Bought these for my 2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE. I was attracted by the fact that they are plug and play and the driver is built into the headlights. No extra cables or hanging parts like some competitors.
