Great item, please use a waterproof Uco that is your normal size. It's nice to have a good size ferro stick to use as a substitute for matches and a magnetic jar you can't use either, really cool will buy some more little notes. Ferrorod down or to the lid, not to the side. This way the lid helps hold it in place instead of just relying on glue to keep it in place for the life of the product.

Looks pretty sturdy and waterproof. The only drawback: the closure on the housing is a bit tight. It takes a little grumbling to close it. But seriously, if you're opening and closing these 3-4 times a day, you're probably going to have bigger problems to deal with. It will be an excellent and useful filling for stockings.

This item serves it's purpose perfectly! I was looking for something to put in my backpack to start a fire. I decided that 3 in 1 (which I made 4 in 1) was a good way to go for obvious reasons. I know the picture shows matches but I put my mini lighter in there too! I don't have to worry about getting anything wet as the lid screws on tight and feels solid. I also like that it doesn't rattle as it fits snugly into the holster. Buy another one as a gift. I love this thing!

Ferro Rod + Saw Striker is very effective. The saw striker is amazing, that's a great thing. The small matchbox holds a tight water seal and feels sturdy. Haven't tried using a magnifying glass yet as I live in Oregon and it's mostly cloudy there. Everything comes in a sturdy, reusable bag that I will use for kindling or tinder (or petroleum jelly cotton balls). I'll do what someone else did and leave the lighter here. The only thing they could improve is a slot to keep the saw stationary. So…
