My dogs LOVE this food. It was recommended to me by a friend because of the quality. Dogs willingly eat and lick bowls repeatedly. We also use it as a medium value training treat because they will do almost anything to get it as a reward.

Great dog food! However, Revain has doubled the price since my last order, from $36.00 to $79.99 for 14 pound dog food. I thought it was a bug so I called support. They said it was INTENTIONAL and said it was due to high demand. What? Well now they have low demand because I am very dissatisfied with the price and their response.

This food was recommended as an alternative to the Hills Prescription Diet Veterinary Diet due to its low phosphorus content. In comparison, this is clearly quality food that you're unlikely to find locally. Can't say my dog LOVES it but he will eat it. The food is a bit big for a small dog, but the small bite version is much more expensive. All in all a great product.

We have two dogs who are allergic to dog food. It is often more the case that one dog than two reacts to a particularly crunchy dog food. But for this product, they both get along well. We feed them about 1/3 of the time but usually use a dry raw food called Sojos that also has water added to it which works very well. I think they respond so well to this FirstMate that we could use it all the time, but my partner is adamant about using a different form of food.

I have already reviewed this product so I don't know why I am being asked to review it again. Anyway, as I said, this is the only food that I use exclusively for my Akitas. It's really excellent. Great coat, great digestion, and they love it. Akitas were originally bred in Japan, so their original main source of protein was fish.
